Cambridgeshire Rural Strategy

The Cambridgeshire Together Rural Strategy is a plan for the future viability of the County’s rural areas. It assesses the upsides and challenges of living and working in the countryside, reviews the area’s economic wellbeing and looks at the land and environment that surrounds us. It goes on to set out a long-term vision for rural Cambridgeshire, how we can get there and who can make it happen.

Cambridgeshire ACRE facilitated the development of the Strategy and its action plan, working with public sector partners from across the county. They will help shape and monitor how well the County’s major plans and organisations are addressing key rural issues.

Delivery of the initial action plan has been ongoing since 2010. With the new political landscape and localism taking a more central role in the way things get done, partners have joined together to refresh the Strategy document and the action plan which will guide activity over the next 12 months.

You can download a copy of the current Strategy document and the Action Plan that supports its delivery from the ‘Resources and Downloads’ box.
