Community Facilities Advice

Legislation surrounding the running of community assets changes frequently and we know that this is a huge burden of responsibility on those involved in the management of community facilities.

Cambridgeshire ACRE's specially-trained advisors keep abreast of the latest developments and can offer help and support. They can respond to telephone, email and postal enquiries from representatives of village halls, community centres and other community assets across the county.

Our team will make visits to your community building if required or we welcome visitors to our office. We can assist with all aspects of running and managing community facilities, such as constitutions, management committees, equipment and health and safety issues. We can give advice on design and costings for new-build facilities. We can also provide a wide variety of different publications for village halls. These range from books, reports, information sheets, model documents and checklists. Many of our factsheets can be emailed free of charge.

A full guide to our services, including a list of the publications we have available, can be downloaded from the Resources and Downloads box. You can also download case studies to read about other community facilities who have made good use of our services.

Our telephone and email advice service is free, with a small fee charged for onsite visits. Please contact Philip Peacock on 01353 865033 or philip.peacock@cambsacre.org.uk

Is your community building registered on our hallsforhire website? This free of charge service gives local community buildings a web presence and puts them on the map for people looking for a venue for a meeting or event. To find out more, please visit the hallsforhire website.
