Community Led Planning
Community Led (or Parish) Plans give an opportunity for local people to debate and create their own vision for a sustainable future. They provide a way for local people to say if they want more open spaces, more effective public transport, affordable housing, better access to health care, a chance to buy local produce at local shops and to choose how their community helps everyone in it to relax and make the most of their leisure time.
Cambridgeshire ACRE has a long history of working with individual communities to deliver parish plans, brokering the required relationship with local authority officers. Over 85 rural communities have so far created their own action plans as a result of the community-led parish plan process with Cambridgeshire ACRE's support. Across Cambridgeshire, rural communities tackling parish plan actions have delivered many improvements in their local area.
Cambridgeshire ACRE's team of experienced community advisors have a wealth of knowledge about what works when developing a Community Led Plan. Please contact us if you would like to discuss how your community might benefit from the community led planning process.
