Ouse Washes Landscape Partnership

The Heritage Lottery Landscape Partnership Scheme (LPS) is a grant programme which is normally delivered by a partnership made up of regional, national and local organisations with an interest in the area, community groups and members of the community. The programme is based round a portfolio of smaller projects, which together provide long-term social, economic and environmental benefits for a rural area.

Cambridgeshire ACRE is facilitating a partnership bid to the scheme that aims to celebrate and conserve the unique landscape heritage of the Ouse Washes through community engagement and participation.

The Partners will be a mixture of government agencies; local, national and regional authorities, community groups and groups whose livelihood/quality of life depends upon the Ouse Washes.

The Partners will deliver projects that fit within one of four themed programmes of work:

  1. Conservation of the built/natural features of a historic landscape,
  2. Increasing community participation in local heritage,
  3. Increased access to learning about the landscape and heritage,
  4. Increased training opportunities in local heritage skills.
