Recreational space, dedicated sports' grounds and playing fields are all community assets managed and maintained by the parish council, the village hall management committee, the church, a combination of both or by a group, brought together specifically to provide an amenity for the community.
County Playing Fields Associations (CPFAs) support the work of FIT (Fields in Trust), formerly National Playing Fields Association, as well as providing additional services such as field management, planning, grants and loans and active support for local projects. Cambridgeshire ACRE is the County Playing Fields Association for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Please visit www.cpfas.org.uk for more details.
We focus mainly on rural areas, working with town and parish councils and other local groups to ensure communities have access to a full range of recreation activities and services.
