Post office closures in Cambridgeshire will be made in autumn 2008 and announcements regarding which post offices will be affected locally are being made on 8th July 2008. Responding to Post Office Closures

The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Post Office Network Change Group, facilitated by Cambridgeshire ACRE, was formed in response to the Government's 2007/8 national programme to close 2,500 urban and rural post offices.

For further information on the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Post Office Network Change Group please click here to download a press release entitled 'Post Office Closure Programme Put Under The Spotlight in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough' issued by Cambridgeshire County Council. 

The Post Office Network Change Group has recently published a short-term support strategy for post offices, which aims to set out the practical actions that it intends to take to manage the impacts of planned post office closures. There are different strategies for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Please click on the respective area you are interested in to download a copy of the relevant strategy document.
