Trustees of Mandeville Hall in Kimbolton have plenty to celebrate as they have just successfully renewed their Hallmark quality award levels 2 and 3. The Trustees were presented with the certificates to mark their achievement. Hallmark is a nationally recognised quality standard for village halls and community facilities.
Local rural development charity, Cambridgeshire ACRE, oversees the award in the County and checks that any halls applying are reaching the high standard required, before independent assessors inspect the hall to check that all is in order. At Level 2, halls must demonstrate that they meet rigorous requirements for health & safety, licencing and maintenance and at Level 3, the focus is on community engagement, forward planning and development. Mandeville Hall trustees were first accredited at all three Levels in 2017 and have successfully maintained these standards for the last five years.
Kirsten Bennett, Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire ACRE said: “I congratulate all the trustees and volunteers on this amazing achievement. Mandeville Hall was the first hall in the County to achieve all three levels of the accreditation and we are so pleased the very dedicated trustees continue to maintain and support the Hallmark Quality Standard.”
Benefits of achieving the Hallmark standard for village halls include formal recognition that the community facility has embedded good practice and procedures, discounts on insurance and giving residents and hirers confidence that their community venue is safe and well managed.
Stan Rhodes, Chairman at Mandeville Hall, said: We are delighted to retain the Hallmark 2 & 3 accreditation which is a reflection of the hard work the Trustees and volunteers have put in through the difficult times we have all experienced over the past two years.
The Hallmark Quality Standard helps us to maintain focus on the key elements of managing our community centre and to strive for continued improvement in all that we do.
